The aim of this page is to educate those interested in learning about Woolworths Cricket Blast as well as answering common FAQs.

Woolworths Cricket Blast (formerly Milo Have-A-Go and Milo In2Cricket) teaches the fundamentals of cricket in a fun, healthy, safe and inclusive environment. Woolworths Cricket Blast is aimed at girls and boys aged 5-10 of all abilities and no prior experience is required to join.

 

Our game-based activities are designed to unite kids in a frenzy of fun and excitement. Your kids will make new friends, learn new skills, and experience the thrill of being part of a team.

 


 

 

Ready to bat, bowl and have a ball?

  • Everyone welcome - Kids aged up to 10 years old

  • Over in a flash – 60-90 minutes of fun each session in a safe and inclusive environment

  • Make pals, catch skills, throw like a boss, and teamwork like a pro!

  • Kids will be able to rock the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes with their own Cricket Blast pack

  • All the gear, no fear!

  • Join the Junior Blasters or Masters Blasters Program at Kilsyth!

Safe and inclusive for kids of all abilities

To ensure the safety of all participants, we use plastic bats and a rubber ball.
 

Activities use softer balls of different sizes, as well as blind cricket balls, so kids can participate and develop at their own pace.
 

We provide an environment focusing on kids abilities.

Important Information for Woolworths Blast Participants

 

Junior and Master Blasters Programs
What programs are offered at Kilsyth and what do they entail?

 There are two progressive Woolworths Cricket Blast programs:

  • Junior Blasters (ages 5-7) will teach kids the basic skills to play cricket through fun game based activities.

  • Master Blasters (ages 7-10) is for kids with basic cricket skills. Kids will play modified games of cricket in a fun and social setting.


Dates and Times
When does the program run and for how long?

The programs generally runs on Friday evenings from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Pinks Reserve, Kilsyth from the start of November to March.
 

Season Duration
Is there a Christmas break?

There is a Christmas break between sessions from late December and spans over the summer school holidays with the program generally resuming after this period in the new year in late January. This allows parents and Woolworths Blast participants to enjoy the school holidays and not miss out on any sessions if they are away.

Weather Interruptions
What happens if there is rain or extreme heat? 

Sessions will be cancelled in the event of adverse weather (rain or extreme heat) to ensure everyone is kept safe. The Co-ordinator will advise everyone as appropriate.
 

Parent Involvement
Can I get involved?

Parent participation is highly encouraged to help ease the load on the co-ordinator. You can assist in the operations of the program by volunteering to help in either an off field or on field approach.

 

Woolworths Blast Fees
Is there any cost? What does it cover?

Woolworths Junior Blast participant packs are supplied at a cost. These packs contain a personally named T-Shirt and bucket hat in your choice of BBL team colour (selected when registering), a plastic bat and a rubber ball.

 

Attire and Equipment
What needs to be worn and brought to each session?

Please wear your hat and shirt provided in the participant pack and some clothing suitable for sporting activities. You should also bring along with you a drink bottle and some sunscreen as the activities are outdoors. The Club provides all appropriate equipment for the sessions activities but participants are welcome to bring their own equipment to use if they desire.
